Rejoice When He Fights For You!

Rejoice When He Fights For You!

It amazes me how I teach the word of God and apply the word to my life for the most part but still can fall short of my own advice at times. I know many have but I just might be the one who is honest enough to admit it. It is not something that I am proud of but it is something that I must share. I believe transparency will always be the best teacher in life. In fact, the bible is based on transparency moments that have to catapult us all into greatness if we apply it. For me, my shortcoming happened last weekend. I had a family member who is filled with anger and malice do something that could have landed me in some serious trouble with authorities. Honestly, she was so gun ho on getting me in trouble that she forged someone's name to file a false report. I know insane right? The good news is that I caught it and it did not manifest. I know some is guessing by now, so where is Fallon's shortcoming? Here it is!

I was so caught up in what she did and how much it hurt me that I didn't fully rejoice in the fact that God did not allow it to prosper. He kept his word. (Isaiah 54;17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rise against you in judgment you shall condemn, this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord.) My God is an awesome God. I literally lived this scripture and instead of rejoicing, like a fool, I was in my feelings for what she tried to do. Don't get me wrong we are human and yes we have feelings. The bible teaches us not to be led by our feelings but by The Holy Spirit. I should have been shouting from the rooftops hallelujah the enemy didn't prevail. I did say thank you, Jesus, but I kept on talking and dwelling on what she did and what could have happened. When God steps in, it is no need for the could have. He demolished it and that should be what is praised and discussed if needed.

I did have to repent and ask God for forgiveness and I had to realign my thoughts and stay focused. It is all designed to distract me from the purpose and we can't allow that. God has called us to win and he shows himself to us daily. We have to just open our eyes and smell the grace (smile). I like that metaphor. Let my shortcoming teach you on how to rest in your victory. For me, this was a major victory and I didn't truly enjoy it until now. I don't know about you but I just love the Lord and his grace and mercy. I do want to mention that I did pray for the perpetrator who happens to be my family member. She needs it the devil has her such in a cloud that to hurt me she was willing to put herself in a situation to go to jail, hello, forgery is illegal. The enemy gets desperate and he just dives into mayhem, such a shame to witness. We are not to gloat over the fact that she played herself but we are to rejoice that God protected me.
