Dealing With Rage

Self Control

You woke up in the morning thinking to yourself, "this will be a great day." Then as you start your day, you're experiencing drama, chaos, and anger. This is when two things will happen, you will react and go berserk, or you will remember that you are self controlled and have authority over your emotions. If you react by going berserk, you now have given the devil foothold in your life and you bit the bate he has sent you. Your whole day will definitely go down hill. You now have an attitude, you are responding to people harshly, and might say something you will end up regretting. The truth is the next day will be horrible as well because you're now left with the residue of yesterday. Relationships are in jeopardy all because you took the enemy's bate. (Ephesians 4:27 and do not give the devil a foothold)

On the other hand, handling the chaotic day in a self controlled manner, you would have less stress and reversed the energy. Every situation in life revolves around a reaction. By breathing in and out and keeping your cool the devil has loss the upper hand. For example, the customer service rep that you're on the phone with will end up helping you, when he or she realizes you are not raising you're tone of voice, when they're being belligerent towards you. They will feel self convicted noticing that you are dealing with them in love. Remember this verse (Proverbs 25:22 In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you.)

After all, the person who has annoyed you and derailed your day will continue their day unaware of your emotions. What am I saying? They will be unbothered and you will be stressed out for the rest of your day. Battles are won when emotions are controlled. You truly control your happiness when it comes to scenarios. In my lifetime I have experienced some traumatic things and even then I learned how to control how I will let the situations effect my life. No one should have that much authority in your life, that they can single handily ruin your day. (Proverbs 16:32 Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city)

I challenge you the next time you encounter these dilemmas to thank about this blog and what would Jesus do? Think to yourself is this situation worth the stress that will take place on me. The headache, high blood pressure, for some a heart attack. I know it seems drastic but this is the true results of stress. Control your emotions don't let your emotions control you.

Affirmation: I control my emotions! My day will go on to be great!
