I Can't Quit
I know life can be very draining at times. So, rough that it makes you just want to throw in the towel and say I'm done. Then what? The crisis still is there and frustrations isn't changing a thing. In fact, no matter what, at some point in time you will have to deal with the issue at hand. The agony of taking a step forward and then life pulls you two steps backwards. Man, I so know how this feels. I am also aware that many people aren't natural fighters at heart. So, the challenges of life is very over whelming. The bills, the needs, and the frustration of just not having enough. On the other hand, some might have all the tangible but lack the kids, the love, the understanding of just wanting to be seen or heard. Everyone in life has been dealt with an issue that makes you feel like you want to quit.
For, me, I am learning that my obstacles came much harder in life when I totally sold out for Christ. It was like life was like oh, you wanna live righteous? Take this and that! I mean so much that the average person would probably be in a psychiatric facility. I cry sometimes and even have thrown a couple of pity parties but still fought to win the battle at hand. I mean I have cried to where I was looking like a little kid that just got reprimanded. All in all, I know that the scriptures state that the righteous will have trials but we are not forsaken. These are the moments when you have to really dig deep and recite every scripture in your mind. Meditate on them and believe them. For, we know it is impossible to please the Lord without faith. (Psalms 34:19 The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;) (Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.)
I love how Joshua, says that if I acknowledge and apply the word of God I will be successful. That means that this to shall pass. Think about it, every obstacle is a thing in the past and you are on a new journey. Sometimes, I find it great to recall every victory you had previously won. It makes it so easy to withstand the new battles. I also wanna add that it is great to have a God- fearing, powerful, encouraging family, and friends around you. They have a way of speaking light into your life, when all you can see is grey dark skies. Trouble doesn't last always, and you will win this if you don't quit. Don't you know quitting makes you resentful and filled with depression and anxiety that you didn't have in the beginning of your situation. The bible promises us that if you continue to run your race that you will be rewarded.
That is God's way of saying that I know you are going through it but trust me to get you through it then I can reward you with the abundance that I have for you. Most trials and tribulations are learning experiences that prepares you for your purpose or what you're praying for. The bible says cast every anxiety on the Lord for he cares for you. He said every that means you are to worry about nothing. Wow, what a loving God we serve. As I am writing this I am being uplifted myself to keep that in mind, to give it ALL to him. Not some but ALL of the worrying, depression, feeling of lack, anxiety, and fears. (1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.)
I guess by now you have figured it out, you don't have to quit because you have a supernatural force of power working with you and for you. There is a holy ghost power residing in your soul. He has your back and you will come out the fire not smelling like smoke. Fight your good fight and remember that anything worth having comes with some obstacles. Nothing comes easy! The only easy thing that we can really count on is resting on the Lord but we make it so hard for ourselves. Today is the day that you and I will never worry again. You can't pray and worry that is a wavering mind and the bible says that is a unstable mind.
(James 1:2-8 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.) Glory to God and you can not quit with a promise like this!
AFFIRMATION: Quitting is not an option. I will not carry any loads because that is God's job. I will win
