Are You In The Now?

Are You In The Now?

Often times we are rushing towards our future that we miss the now. The now represents so much fulfillment in our lives. It is an indication where we are at in this very moment and it reveals who we are at this very moment. The now is a nurturer to the future. It reveals what needs to be removed, replanted, taught, and so much more. In fact, for many leaders and purposed filled people the now is vital to their future. It is the time you get to learn yourself and develop into the readiness for the future. I find my now to be very resourceful for my future, this is the time I am using to learn the scriptures and to let God mold me into what I need to be.

Like many others, I was racing towards my future and neglecting the fact that I am not fully ready for all the things that I think I am ready for. I am still very overly emotional, sensitive, naive, and uneducated about many things. This will cause me to not be as effective as I should be for my task. That is why the scripture teaches us that we serve a long-suffering and patient God. Let the church say amen to that. He is very brilliant in his ways!

I want to encourage you today to stop focusing on the future so much without the self-development needed for your now. You have so much potential inside you that needs to be groomed and ready. God has a lot on the stake when he has called someone and he can't let anyone unfit tarnish the rules and image of the kingdom. Even Jesus studied and was mentored before preaching and shifting the world. ( Luke 2:46 NKJV Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions.)

Although we may feel like we have arrived often times, we truly haven't. At least in the fullness and wholeness regarding the task at hand. God does things in order and whether you like it or not preparation is apart of that order. Be still and trust God's timing. I am learning that his timing is perfect and as I open my eyes and am being pruned, I've learned that I needed his delays so I can be perfected in his will for me. (Hebrews 13:21 NKJV make you complete in every good work to do is His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen)

Enjoy the now parts of your life, yes, keep moving forward in bettering yourself but enjoy the growth, the new understanding, and the valuable lessons that you're being taught right now by God himself.

Affirmation: No more haste in my spirit to want to move out of my now season of growing and learning!
