Waiting On The Lord
Waiting On The Lord
I hear so many people preach, teach, and say to wait on the Lord. How it will always benefit us and will lead us to God's perfect plan for our lives. To be honest, it is the truth, it is the best thing we can do in our walk with God. After all, If you say you're a Christian then you should be walking with God and waiting on God. When things aren't adding up and there is absolutely no peace it is because you're not in the will of God. When moving ahead of God or on your own path it will always lead to destruction, havoc, and no rest.
You see no matter how bad a situation looks when waiting on the Lord, there will always be a sense of peace attached to it. You don't have things figured out but you have enough trust and hope in God to rest and wait on him. Peace will forever be a distinction of being in God's will. No matter the situation there will always be rest and a sense of peace. In fact, the easiest way to know that the devil has his hands on something is a sense of urgency and to always remember he comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He will never build to edify anything but chaos and destruction.
Prayer must be accompanied with waiting on God. You must seek direction and always remember it's a relationship so as with any other relationship communication is the key. Seek clarity and direction through prayer always. Then keep your eyes open as the Lord will instruct you. Remain still when needed in confidence knowing it all will work out for you. Belief is always a major component in our walk. Your faith to trust God to move on your behalf will have him do just that.
Today I want to compel you to think about all the times you moved before God and think about the ending result of your choice. Then ponder on the times you waited for God and how the transition was amazing and worked out and how you were able to rest with a sense a peace in the decision. This will teach you to always wait on God. The mind is our most powerful tool and we must keep it sharp by renewing and reminding ourselves of things to keep us focused.
Never be afraid of thinking that waiting on the Lord will humiliate you. That is your flesh and the devil playing tricks on your mind using fear as a tactic. The Lord will never humiliate you and he will show up. It will be against everything he teaches us if he does not prevail. He will not tell you to hope in him and fully trust him to let you down. To be honest, as I am writing this very sentence I am saying to myself like duh, of course, he will never do that. But truth be told we often feel like that. Feeling like totally relying upon the Lord and giving him all control will shortchange us somehow. I promise you it's all lies in your head and in mine at one time. God is good and he does exactly what he said he would but you got to believe and activate him by moving in faith and doing exactly what he said.
AFFIRMATION: I will move when God says so! I am confident in the Lord!
