My Mind On My Promise
My Mind On My Promise
I don't even know where to begin on this topic, for me exposure is everything. I really believe that when God allows you to be exposed to certain things he is trying to make you aware of what is to come. The thing is the enemy and our stinking thinking turns exposure into comparison or jealousy, missing the whole picture of the promises that God is trying to render to us. We somehow start thinking negative about our situation and feel defeated instead of inspired. God is not a respect of persons or shows favoritism. He honors those who honor him and he loves a person filled with faith. In fact, the bible says it is impossible to please God without faith. (Hebrews 11:6 But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. NKJV) Wow, so that's a promise that when believing God he will reward you for believing him and seeking him.
Remember this (Luke 1:37 For with God nothing is impossible NKJV) so when your being exposed know that you can obtain what he is exposing you too. Nothing is too hard for him to achieve through you. He will provide the strength, the peace, and the provision for you to conquer giants. The problem is the mind must follow the actions. The faith (mind) makes it achievable. That is why the scripture teaches us faith without works is dead. Think about the time Caleb and Joshua went with the other Israelites to check out the land that God was exposing them to. He promised the land. Joshua and Caleb believed however, the others didn't and they discourage the others to be fearful. They were worried about the giants and obstacles instead of keeping their eyes on the giant fruits and all the abundance that was in the land of Canaan. As a result, they forfeited their promise and died in the wilderness and Joshua and Caleb received it after forty years. (Numbers 13 and 14)
This teaches us to be very careful to keep our mind subjected to the things of Christ and to renew it with the word that never fails. You don't want to miss out on God's best simply because of stinking thinking. It sounds foolish but that is what the truth is they didn't receive God's best because they didn't believe in God or what he can do through them. Resulting in them dying in a place meant for them to pass through. Think about all the times that God was trying to give you the best and you settled for below average.
I have good news, today can be your turn around. It can be the breakthrough you have been dreaming about. All you have to do is believe and be careful who you are attaching yourself to. If Joshua and Caleb had not been attached to them they would have the promise at that moment instead of waiting forty years. Let that one sink in. I pray you that you will use the discernment provided by Christ and obtain everything is he exposing you to.
Affirmation: I will take what's mine. God keeps his promises!
