You Got What It Takes

I admit that as much wisdom that God has given me, I still battle with the insecurities of my growing. Whether it's my business or ministry. I find myself on an emotional roller coaster sometimes. Stepping out on faith will do that to you. The uncertain feeling of not knowing what the outcome will be. For instance, if you apply for a job you know that you will receive a pay check at the end of the week. Which makes one comfortable. So it is safe and less anxiety. For many that have purpose and a calling on their life this is what you call mere living. A person filled with purpose has to walk in territory that is not comfortable and requires a lot of faith. Entrepreneurs are on the rise with us millennials but even though it is many of us it does not make the pursuit any easy. You have to build momentum, relationship, and the main factor clientele. It is a competitive market no matter what you are selling. The task is tiresome but it is necessary when you have a calling to do something.

Then to add to the equation we now have social media which has birthed so many multi millionaires and also created so many insecure people. Some never even had insecurities until the game changer of social media arrived. Let me elaborate on this, you may have accomplished so much for your business and at a stand point doing very well. You log on to to social media and boom someone is doing what your doing but better and bigger. Their life seems so extravagant and now your life seems so small and insignificant. Well that is what your mind is self conceiving. Some experts call it the social media depression, can you believe this? It is a real thing that 75% of people that are on social media are dealing with. Crazy!

This is what I have to remind myself and others is that many take fifty pictures and sort through them all, then post the one that they feel made the cut. Safe to say it is a homemade photo shoot we do. People are not posting there low points they are only highlighting their highs. Some are struggling just like me. Many are insecure too and need the likes for validation and some are very confident and trying to inspire people to go after their dreams. It can go both ways but the truth is you can't be defining your worth by comparison it is unhealthy. How can you devalue all the hard work you have put in? You did what many haven't  you stepped out on faith. You birthed the book, business, non profit, and etc.You have what it takes and someone needs what you have to offer. Rome was not build overnight it is a true statement not a cliche. Apple creators were stuck in a garage for years before they evolved into the game changers they are today. Pat yourself on the back and keep going!

Trust what God has put in you and realize that he has to finish his work in you. (Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.) That means nothing will stop him from making sure you will arrive, the only thing that will stop him is the coming of Jesus and by then you will have accomplished the works he placed in your heart. I know it is not easy but remember in order to gain anything worth having it is and always will be hard work. Our generation has minimized the truth about hard work. Anything that is a instant hit never last never forget that. So pick up your head, wipe your tears, and keep moving forward. You got this and you will win!
