You Are Called To Reign

You Are Called To Reign

People struggle with that fact that God has given all of us the ability to reign and conquer. Somehow we have strayed away from this truth. We are comfortable with being average and not pushing ourselves to live in our full potential. Being consumed by depression, anxiety, a feeling of self-worthless. Believing the lies of the enemy but never wanting to believe and meditate on the truth that God has placed in us. I too have struggled with these illusions of false truth, that has robbed me of my happiness, joy, and worth. In fact, anxious is a feeling of worry that hasn't even occurred yet. So we are being intoxicated by a disaster that hasn't even happened. But somehow we react to it as it did. Even as I write it and ponder on the previous sentence, I am saying to myself, how crazy?

However, the truth is we do it and we do it on a regular basis. Totally ignoring Christ and the precepts he has taught us by living them out. Jesus was deeply moved and depressed at a point of time and overcame each time. He not only tells us how to be an overcomer he showed us too. I want you to take a look at this scripture where Jesus was depressed and how he responded. (Luke 22:41-45 NKJV And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not my will, but Yours, be done." Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony (in pain, stress, worrying), He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. When He rose up from prayer and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow.

This scripture gives us a vivid illustration of how Jesus was feeling before being nailed to the cross, being deeply moved by the situation he prayed and he prayed some more and he trusted God and took up his cross. He showed us how we should respond. He didn't ignore his feelings and act like they weren't present but through prayer and faith, he kept moving and completing his task here on earth.
Our response to our trials and tribulations should be the same. To pray and let God know how we feel and he will strengthen us like he did Jesus through his angel, and he will deliver us like he did  Jesus for death couldn't even hold him. Now, remember this when you are facing things. Stop masking and acting like the feelings aren't there or reacting to those feelings in a negative way, instead, take the route Jesus took.

We are fully equipped to stand against all of the wiles of the enemy we have an anointing power that resides in us, which is the Holy Spirit. This power has given us the ability to have power and dominion and therefore we reign and will always defeat the enemy. We give the devil to much credit he can't control our response to things, that power truly belongs to us!
