Life Will Hit You/ You Gotta Fight Back
I am amazed by all that I have encountered in my life that I am still standing in my right state of mind. From childhood to adult life, life has been unfair and tried to bury me in lemons. However, I decided unconsciously that I wasn't going to be defeated. You see I have a natural instinct to fight instead of flight. I am strong at heart and am very determined to come out on the other side. It is just who I was created to be. On the other hand, some don't have this natural instinct and they must dig deep to stand the schemes of life. Don't get me wrong, there are things that I have to stay in deep prayer and fasting about because ultimately God gives the strength. It is never my doing but his. I am just being honest about my natural ability to hit things head-on. For me, I see a Storm and I grab an umbrella and whether it. The bible is very clear that we all are uniquely made. ( 1 Peter 2;9 NIV But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.)
This scripture confirms that we are God's chosen people so when life comes with them lemons we can be confident to know that we will make lemonade. Even if you're not born with a fighting instinct in you. You serve a God that will fight all battles for you. If you have been hurting and trying to wage war on your own, I come with good news, you don't have to. God will protect you and help you to stand firm and come out emotionally unharmed as you trust him to do so. Life was not designed for us to fight back ourselves in our own strength. Even though my natural instinct is to fight that does not mean I can win. Fighting with God declares that I will never lose. Even death can not reign over a righteous being. To fight back is to do it confidently with the Lord.
Those voices in your head that keep telling you that you can't make it and that life will always be like this, fight back knowing God sent Jesus so you can have life abundantly. God says you are more than a conqueror. Conqueror a person who conquers a place or people. Conquer overcome and take control of a place or people by military force. You see God uses specific wording to encourage us to keep faith in him. Why would he say, conqueror? I tell you why he knows that we are in a battle at war in this spiritual warfare.
Stop feeling hopeless and depressed and fight back with God standing before you. Stop making excuses to do the things we are comfortable doing. Let us be honest running for shelter, playing it safe, running to drugs, staying with the abusive mate is very easy for us to do. We know what to expect there, even if it hurts. It is something similar to the Stockholm Syndrom which is feelings or trusting in the person who has been kidnapped or taken hostage by a person. Isn't that what fear, anxiety, worry, or lack of anything does to you? It kidnaps your happiness it takes your peace hostage. Well, it stops today! This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice in it. Despite what we see and pushing through what we feel so we can get to the other side where the peace and joy awaits.
Fight! God created you to be victorious he created you to be a winner. Never let life determine your destiny. Instead, live in the destiny that is predestined for you. (Ephesians 1;11 NIV In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works everything in conformity with the purpose of his will)
Remember you are born to win despite what life throws at you. God promised to see you through!
