Masking Won't Work! The pain of confronting an issue has left many to mask. Masking in this case simply means to act like you're in a state of being that your not. For instance, you're hurting but instead of voicing that, you rather pretend that you have it all together. Masking usually creates a false happiness and that can turn into bitterness and anxiety. The problem with masking is it prevents real growth and it prohibits any chance of getting the proper help that is needed. No one will know the severity of your issue because you're pretending. Some might say that masking is a formal way of being phony but whatever the synonym may be it isn't worth the ordeal. You want to be at peace within. The only way you can truly have peace is to stop pretending and face your issues. Let's face it, God can not bless who we pretend to be. Life Will Hit You/ You Gotta Fight Back I am amazed by all that I have encountered in my life that I am still standing in my right state of mind. From childhood to adult life, life has been unfair and tried to bury me in lemons. However, I decided unconsciously that I wasn't going to be defeated. You see I have a natural instinct to fight instead of flight. I am strong at heart and am very determined to come out on the other side. It is just who I was created to be. On the other hand, some don't have this natural instinct and they must dig deep to stand the schemes of life.
