Patience Is The Key

I often have to remind myself that it is not my timing but God's timing. No matter how much I declare or decree things will not go as I have planned them but instead how the Lord sees fit. It can get depressing sometimes when you're not in God's will or timing. For, instance, look at Joseph he got imprisoned for a crime he did not commit and then sat in prison for two years. The agony he must have felt doing things with integrity but still feeling alone and forgot about. As you continue to read you will notice that it was a strategic move that the Lord had orchestrated to benefit Joseph. Of, course, at the moment it didn't seem like it but it truly was to benefit him. God wanted him to reign under a certain King and he had to hide and protect him until his time came. I don't know who is reading this but for me, this is blessing me. As I am writing this I am understanding my position in my walk. God is not a mean spiteful God but he is so smart and his ways are not like ours. (Isaiah 55:8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord.) With the world moving so fast-paced and social media to remind us of what we are not accomplishing we get distracted and feel inadequate when in reality we are right where God wants us to be.

God knows our hearts desires, in fact, he placed those desires deep inside of our hearts. The real challenge is to trust him whole heartily even when you don't understand his ways. My favorite scripture teaches us that we are to acknowledge and trust God in all of our ways. (Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.) We must keep in mind that we are kingdom living and not living the way the world does. Concepts of the world are contrary to ours. We depend and lean on God and the world moves in its own ways and desires. The steps of the righteous are ordered and that means that we might not like how it feels but in the end we will love the results. God is a mind blower and as long as you keep that in your heart you will feel secured about the unknown. To us it is unknown but to God, it is predestined. ( Ephesian 2:10 For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do goods works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.) This simply means rest and know that he is God.

The more you read the scriptures and meditate on them the more they become prevalent in our lives. The road is not designed to be easy but it is bearable and it is rewarding. The one thing that is easy is giving the burdens to God and he then carries the anxieties. That is what makes everything feel and seem hard because we are secretly pondering how things will fall into place. I say it loud, that is not out job but God's job! Be happy for others and thank God for your portion. Everyone journey is different although it may look the same it is not. The bible states that we are all uniquely made.
Joseph story is so much like you and I that it is mind-blowing. Think about it, how many times, have you felt crucified doing things the right way? Feeling alone and underappreciated. Watching everyone win and accomplishing things that you want to accomplish? It hurts and it makes you want to quit but these are the times that you must cling to Christ more and take him at his words. Remember he is a God that he can not lie, in, fact, God hates a liar. That means he is guaranteed to come through for you. Thank you, Jesus, for your faithfulness!

I know it feels rough but you and I are closer than we think. Hold on tight and never let him go! Read this blog over and over if you have too but just don't give up. You've come too far to quit and you deserve to see what's on the other side of things. You see what you must understand is that the people we are secretly jealous of or admire they didn't quit. They stuck it out no matter how hard it got. Never forget it takes years for the sudden breakthrough. The suddenly comes after years of preparation. That is why it is very important to read and study people's lives, you will learn so much about dedication and the things they had to encounter to get where they are today. I pray this will shed light on your journey and help you to understand that doubt and fear is the enemy way he uses us to self-sabotage. Don't fall for it! I love you to health and I am rooting for you.
