Don't Believe The Hype

Don't Believe The Hype Back in the day, they use to say, "Don't Believe The Hype." It's a metaphor. Meaning don't fall for the foolishness the lies. Today that saying is still prevalent. With social media being in the center of all things, people are falling for anything. It's like we are in an information overload in a way. This is why the Holy Spirit is very much needed in our day to day lives.   I want to dive a little deeper with this metaphor. I want to remind you not to believe the hype of the enemy, stinking satan. How he gives these subtle thoughts. Thoughts like, you're not good enough, you are a screw up, you will never reach your God given goals. Nobody thinks you're pretty or handsome. I can go on and on. These are all things to stop you from being great. He wants to defeat you by using you. It's his strategy to assassinate you. This is when you must be very confident. Digging deep and reminding yourself that you are created in th...

It Takes Time

It Takes Time..Don't Stop Believing Whatever you're facing in this moment, I need you to keep believing. Don't stop believing God, because of your circumstance. It's ok to regroup and take a breather or rest. However, doubt should never be front and center of your problem. Instead use the mind to come up with a solution to your problem. To often we ponder on the problem more than the solution. This the kind of thinking, satan is expecting out of you. Flip the script on the coward. Have him thinking your folding meanwhile, you're regrouping for better. Remember humility before honor. What looks like embarrassment now, is about to be, a wow, look what Jesus did. You're counting yourself out, instead of figuring it out. Truth be told. The fretting is really fear. That fear means that you don't believe you serve a God of victory. So what you may have to work the job to fund your dream. Maybe you have to drive Uber to increase your finances. The book may have t...

Don't Stop

Image
Don't Stop I often remind myself of this scripture, for a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries. ( 1Corithians 16:9 KJV) Paul is reminding us that with many great opportunities came much opposition. He is trying to strengthen us to go anyway. Fight the urge to quit when Satan is trying to derail us. Sweet victory has to be on our minds daily. We must be 100% all in. We have somehow entered a generation, where everyone wants everything easy. That needs to be more realistic and biblically correct. You need grit and the audacity to go forth. Just keep in mind that you're never going alone. God has assigned angels to each and every one of us. He also gave us promises that he will never leave us or forsake us. Let this be the fuel you need to continue the task at hand. Trust God and believe that you will come out victorious. Remember the just shall live by faith. Here is my latest teaching

Imagine It

Image
Imagine It Over the weekend, I taught about the power of the imagination. Explaining how God told Abraham to look up at the sky and count the stars. Which we all know is impossible. He then proceeded to explain to Abraham the blessing of his lineage will be as the stars above. So numerous that one can not count them. He was trying to teach Abraham how to think big. To imagine the unimaginable. God wants us to stop boxing him in. When he says everything is possible through him, he means just that. The disappointments in life can wear down on our imagination. However, we have to push past disappointments and trust the word of the Lord. Timing is God's factor, not ours.  Our only objective is to trust God, despite what we see.  Whatever your praying for, makes sure it's big. Make sure it's something you can't do on your own. God isn't in anything we can do. His power moves by what we can't do.

Wait Your Turn

I know, waiting on the Lord, is very frustrating and feels like you've missed your moment. It feels as if you've been waiting all your life. In some instances, it may have been years. Nevertheless, I have learned that God's timing is always on time. He knows what we can handle and when we are ready. He understands the economy before we even know what's taking place in the economy. After ten whole years, I am now seeing some traffic and traction on things I wanted to accomplish. The truth is, I wasn't ready then. I had to learn some things and grow. What I do know, consistency brought me this far. Whatever you do, don't stop building.  I pray this is encouraging you to keep moving forward. Trust that beginning stages and every stage in between. God knows exactly what he is doing. Just don't change your formula to fit in. Keep being authentic to your calling. Your authenticity is what will catapult you into greatness and what makes you stand out. Here is my l...

It Gets Better As You Apply

Image
It Gets Better As You Apply I remember being in the wilderness, hard times, that strengthens you to become whole. Feeling like it would be my reality for ever. All I had was the promise of God, reading the bible. It truly gave me hope. I used the scriptures to get out of the trials and tribulations that I was facing. Applying, what I was reading in the word of God. I had convinced myself to utilize the scriptures. Growing in faith, to live a life of peace and abundance. God reminded me that the walk isn't easy and that I would be tested by satan. So, even though, I was uncomfortable in those stages. I was fully aware of the warfare that was taking place in my life. I trusted God and he kept his promise to me. I now have a successful ministry that is effective and a powerful true understanding of the word of God. God allowed me to grow spiritually and he has provided me with provision to take care of my family.   I want to encourage you to stay focused and to trust the wo...

Warring and Not Going Lose

Image
As, I, sit and think how rough, I was in the streets. Demanding respect or I would fight to take it. Afraid of nothing and hanging around some crazy people. I was fearless and unapologetic about it. I look back and think to myself, you were nuts. I wouldn't think to do half the things, I use to do. However, I was being honest to myself then. I need that same courageous zeal now walking with God. It's so funny how as soon as we convert to Christianity, we become punks in the spirit. Taking every blow from satan and scared to fight back, using the authority, Christ said we have. We have the power of confession, bible, the blood of Jesus, and angels dispatched on our behalf. Lets not forget the biggest asset, we have faith.  There is nothing we lack to win our battles. It truly is a inner battle that needs to be won. Yes, satan, influences things around us. Ultimately, we have the power to respond well every time. Let this be the fuel needed to fire you up. Standing your ground ...
